MCNA Board Role: Town Liaison

Brief description of your role

The Town Liaison monitors actions contemplated or taken by the Town of Corte Madera that are directly relevant to Mariner Cove residents and reports those issues to the Board for discussion.


Time commitment - monthly/annually

< 20 hours per year, including attendance at quarterly Board meetings.


Relevant technology you use to complete the task

Zoom or similar technology to attend Town Council meetings remotely, as needed.


Meetings you must attend

The Corte Madera Town Council generally schedules meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., but the Town Liaison should only attend meetings, in person or remotely, where the Council considers issues directly relevant to Mariner Cove. The Town Liaison should also attend quarterly meetings of MCNA Board of Directors.

The Town Liaison may assist in managing any response by the Board to specific issues before the Town Council.

Other information: The Town Liaison may also review minutes and agendas of Town Council meetings or other materials published on the Town’s website in order to monitor issues relevant to Mariner Cove.
